BRISKODA was created as a community site to serve the interests of Skoda Owners. The site began in 2002 and has developed over time to be the largest online community of Skoda owners in the world. With a registered membership based of over 55 thousand we see visits each day from all over the world.

All the development and hosting has been handled by us since the first day. We’ve used a range of technologies to deliver the platform to our community. We also need to and use 3rd party services, such as Payment Gateway integration, Analytics from Google and much more.

It’s primarily a PHP/MySQL based solution, with some elements being delivered by bespoke Ruby (Sinatra) web apps. It’s running on a mix of dedicated hardware and virtualised systems. Using the amazing power of Solaris and flexibility of Ubuntu Linux we are constantly developing and learning about communities.
